RDSP value Amounts contributed
RDSP lifetime contribution limit: $200,000 per beneficiary (respected above). Estimate of the Grant (CDSG) and Bond (CDSB) based on 2026 income thresholds, each capped at its lifetime maximum ($70,000 / $20,000, respected above). Grants are available until the end of the year the beneficiary turns 49. Indicative result only — consult your advisor.
Calculation assumptions
- The annual contribution (and the year-1 lump sum, if any) is automatically capped to respect the $200,000 lifetime limit per beneficiary.
- The lump sum is added to the annual contribution in year 1 only; the Grant and Bond for that year are calculated on the total year-1 contribution (lump sum + annual), subject to the usual annual caps (no catch-up of unused prior-year grant room is modelled).
- The Canada Disability Savings Grant (CDSG) and Bond (CDSB) are estimated based on 2026 net family income thresholds (CDSG second threshold and CDSB upper threshold: limits of the first two federal tax brackets) and their respective lifetime limits ($70,000 and $20,000).
- Grants and bonds are assumed available for the entire duration entered; they actually stop at the end of the year the beneficiary turns 49.
- The annual return is applied constantly over the entire contribution period.
